Best Customer Service from a PC Vendor? (Corsair, EVGA, Asus)

Pandalovar100

What's the best company that gave you great service when you needed it? For example, did the company handle your RMA in the most professional way possible? Did they deliver the customer service they were known for?

EVGA, hands down. Also, Corsair has been very good with me.

When I painted my graphics cards, I sent EVGA an email asking what it would do to the warranty. They said that because I'm not actually removing the cooler and I'm just painting the metal shroud, they would still honour the warranty, but I would just have to pay for a new cooler if I RMA'd a card.

Also, when we're on the topic, Acer have the worst customer service I've seen among computer companies. One of my monitors developed a fault and after an hour or so on the phone with someone in India that could barely speak English, I decided to just leave it and just buy a new monitor if it broke completely, rather than having to go through the awful process of getting a replacement.

Never really had exemplary experience with customer service for PC hardware, actually on second thought Dell did a great deal to help me once when my laptop broke, sent an engineer out the next day to fix it at my workplace, just a shame it does cost to get the extra warranty for things like that.

On a similar note EA Games have great support in my opinion, had an old game code I'd activated too many times so got in touch with them, since they couldn't fix it they got proof I owned the game then just gave me a new copy, really quick efficient customer support.

This isn't really customer service, but even with free shipping I almost always have gotten overnight shipping from Newegg, I live in the Bay Area.

For me it's probably Corsair because they replace their RMAs with brand new product while most of the others just replace with refurb stuff. Asus is also good but lacking a bit and haven't dealt with EVGA but I hear they are fantastic as well.

I've had the best service with Logitech.  I contacted them about ordering a replacement centre speaker for my z5500s that were like 3 years out of warranty, and because they didn't have a centre speaker that I could buy to replace my broken one, they sent me a L/R satellite for free.

EVGA loves their customers like it's their own children. Really great stuff. I haven't had to RMA anything to them yet probably because their products are superb.

No one touches Noctua's customer support.

I've ordered a heatsink off Egg and was missing a part needed for installation. Either this was a slip up at the factory or my own fault for misplacing when I had things laid out. After contacting Noctua, they sent a package with a piece from Austria at their own dime. Once the package arrived, I noticed they sent the wrong part. Contacted them about it and instead of being rude, they went ahead and sent the complete mounting hardware for intel my way just to be sure I had the right piece of hardware, again on their own dime from Austria to the US. Now that is some amazing Customer service.

i'd say harmann-kardon (AKG)... broken headset out of warranty? meh, send us the old one you'll get a new one for free ! (the headset costs 500€ !!)

I heard a lot about EVGA, recommended to a friend, was not disapointed : packet lost by the carrier, then found 1 week later, arrives broken, evga support sends one new with another carrier right away ! mind blown...

worst ever : acer and MSI...the last one get the award of worst tech company ever on the RMA side.

Gaming Laptop :  MSI (worst brand ever in EU) GT70 0NC 48FR - I7 3610QM - 670M 3GB GDDR5 - 12GB 1600MHZ - raid0 2 x 64GB sandisk SSD - 750 Gb Hitachi 7200/min

Didnt have to contact any customer support a lot (like 2 times). 1 was for my old 760(MSI), they werent all that nice and it took them quite a while to answer, the other one was bitfenix. Got quick and nice replys solving my problem instantly.

EVGA. First PSU I bought from them made some annoying beeping noises after the fan kicked in. Recorded it etc, advanced rma so they ship the new unit first, only had to pay 1 eur and I didnt even need to call them at all. Corsair support however.. "We'll test the unit before we ship it" you get your replacement with the same exact issue. Another RMA, happens again and a nice excuse "we sell 100K psu's a month it only happens to a few of them"

My local shop doesn't really bother sending it back to the manufacturer, gives me a new one immediately I even got some nice upgrades from it like returning a used 680 I bought for 300eur from someone who bought it from the same shop for a 3930K. Reason was just coil whine lol. So I don't really deal that much with crappy support from manufacturers.

Kingston did very well by me when my SSD died under warranty.

EA I've dealt with twice and both times were horrible. NCIX was a mixed bag, they were nice and all but stuck me with the large shipping bill on an RMA.

Haven't had to deal with faulty parts much (knock on metaphorical wood) so not too much experience with other companies.

Had a 360 RROD, Microsoft handled it nicely, but then they'd had alot of experience by that point.

Edit: Remembered another one, Asus refused to fix my defective tablet, pissed me off at the time. My brother's also had issues getting MSI to repair a laptop under warranty. Sounds like EVGA is pretty awesome
