The only thing that I can tell you for sure, as I was reminded of a friend when I talked to him about your problem, the 770 M's, which have a leather pads which is good, are working only on his 2i4 as they supposed to and they sound quite brilliant price/performance wise. so better get your schiit right

I know, that is why I got the amp. So I dont have to have the Xonar at its maximum, but will still be able to have them loud enough for me to enjoy.

 

I bought the DAC just incase. I will most likely send it back.

 

I also bought the amp so that I dont have to reach around the back of my desk to switch headphones.

It measures identically to your Xonar, and its built as well as an O2 will be. If you want to over spend, go for it, I'm not stopping you. You are just another person who gets pushed through our system here, and I could really care less.

A. An amp does do exactly what you say, but that extra power has the potential to subtly change the sound. 90% of people probably can't even hear those differences, but anytime you apply any outside electrical energy to an analog audio signal, you've got that potential.

B. I really don't give a shit if this is your only forum. And if you don't like it here, why are you here? I'm not telling you to GTFO (though I'm sure others may like to say that), but this forum is founded upon the principle of helping and being courteous to noobs or otherwise members who aren't as knowledgeable as you. The differences come from different designs in amp, most of it is output impedance or THD, and the output impedance is mostly dependent on the headphone, where all the differences to be had in quality will be found.

Not by me inherently, but this subforum in general. But he dipped out and stopped caring about the time of his Schiit review. 

But he use to show up and make a comment then disappear, he has made his fair share of remakes on his live stream and videos, not that I would know.
