The water block says 780 TI so I wanted to make sure it would fit on a 780

Yes... if you have a look at EK's product page of the waterblock it'll tell you what's what.

how come they have two categories for 780 Ti and non TI, instead of just one for both? Anyways, thanks for all the help. I will be getting that block now.
