I'm extremely shy and like the rest of you guys love staying up for the entire night on my PC. Public speaking is my #1 fear and I have a huge lack of confidence. I am really into hockey and golf though and play them regularly. I consider myself athletic and I'm slightly chunkier than the average joe (6'2 180). That's about it.

I'm an arrogant ass who acts like he cares about a lot more than he actually cares about because he secretly wants to care but can't.

Someone who is willing to be and do a lot for others but only because he wants it that way and for little other reason.

Someone who justifies things with "Because." and can't ever think of a real legitimate reason beyond "It's how it's supposed to be."

I sincerely doubt many other people are like I am in this regard. At least I hope they aren't.

Work on changing that. Are you also scared to answer/make phonecalls? If you dont change that now you will need to live with that and it hampers you later on in life. I changed when I got a job and its probs the best thing thats ever happened to me.

Used to be like that. Learning to accept people and that we are no better than our peers is a significant step towards ceasing to be shy. Also, fake it til' you make it worked for me pretty damn well. Even pretend-confidence as long as you don't overdo it into arrogance works wonders.

This guy has it right, the more you expose yourself to such uncomfortable situations the faster you will solve the problem.

I know, and trust me I'm trying. I go to a private school though where my schedule during the school year is basically getting up, going to school, studying, and going to bed. For 9 months straight. My parents tell me I am good at golf but I get scared to ask anyone to play with me because I'm too worried about what they think about me. PM me if you want to keep chatting because I don't really want to keep sharing this on the thread when there are others with more interesting things to say.

Im me. That defines me xD

But there are some things that i've noticed that set me apart from my friends.

Too much compassion (to the point where it's a problem)

My patience and will to help.

My overactive mind and insatiable appetite for knowledge

I can admit when im wrong.

Apparantly my personality type is rare too.

I like to talk to people. And even if their point of view is offensive (Racism,Hate towards groups of people etc.). My interest in psychology makes those conversations very interesting.

Talking to people outside your group of friends seems to be a lost art here in sweden (Not counting gothenburg)

People seem to think that it's odd that i have no problems what so ever with talking to girls.

I can visualize the workings of a car.

I have mechanical sympathy and i believe that some machines have souls and personalities.

Im a dead eye shot with a rifle.

I also have a way with words. And i can act pretty well.

This is nice since i like to make people laugh^^

I'm too worried about what they think about me.

I learnt the hard way that you are nobody special to anyone (or very few) they dont give a shit about you. Nobody stops and gives you a good look and then talks about you later on when you walk down the street. To them you are just another person/customer.

The fact that I think there's no good answer for this question (It is certainly not a list of hobbies, as weird as you think they are they're pretty damn common) If anything I'd say is not just 1 thing but how you do that thing, to give you examples I'll use some of the hobbies mentioned here and I share my take on them

-I am sort of capable of lucid dreaming but not in the way you'd think: This morning I can't remember what I was dreaming but it got so nonsensical I remember "This is fucking stupid now, it's time to wake up" and immediately woke up.

-I love music and I have a pretty diverse taste but other than either something I enjoy due to technical ability or aggressiveness all music I like must be pretty melancholic. It can be depressing, it can be bitter sweet (like depressing yet with some glimmer of uplifting hope) it can be droning and catatonic, etc. But it must have a very sad quality to it.

-I love computers but I have a very significant min/max complex and everything must have a very clear function first, the look of things I like it to be minimalist when possible but not when it trades performance. So you'll never find me doing water loops unless I move to a desert, you'll never find me picking a card above midrange tiers since I can only think how I'm on the wrong side of the diminished returns curve, to me it's always about the most amount of performance where you need it the most with the least amount of money while keeping reasonable levels of quality. Not surprisingly my default systems almost always end up being a midrange Nvidia card and a AMD based CPU.

-I am an introvert but I do not appear like that at all to others where I am pretty much always looking either distant or pissed off, often taking a very rude approach with just enough hints of me being kidding to be taken as dark humour (though I really do mean things).

You get the idea, out of all things I do there's a distinct quality that touches everything. What I do and like it's just common fucking bullshit, what's unique is how I approach this bullshit.

Awesome points here.

Being able to admit your wrong is quite a rare one. Interest in psychology is pretty darn awesome too.
