The Atom F@H Computer

So I'm running a atom netbook as an experiment (I've teamed up with my friend who has a 24 core xeon F@ H mineblaster)

And I wanted to know when first time F@ H do the work units get harder? Cause I've only just started this today and it's so far just a little bit shy slower of the Xeon

Getting hints and tips would be welcomed. After this is done I'll be sadly converting it into my file server but who knows I'll even pitch in more in the near to future.

Thanks.

wait a 24 core xeon is only getting about the same ppd as an atom cpu? thats what i got from reading this if im mistaken then im sorry but if not i call shanaigenes... as my atom gets about 200ppd... and i dont think wqork units every get harder they usualy give out what your hardware can handle so your atom cpu is probaly doing some core a4's cuase thats all mine ever got and had it running 24/7 for a good month.  also i imagine the xeon is not working on the small work units your atom can only handle so maybe the ppd will equal out to the same cuase the xeon is capable of doing heavier loads than the atom ever could dream of.

Give it a few days to settle.

Either there is something horribly wrong on his end, or by some mistake the decimal place was put in the wrong spot in his PPD.

@Ssoele Tell him about your experiences with the octa core atom

Yeah I mistook the decimal by bad, but yeah I'mm still waiting for a few days to settle as my friend said anyways with his 24 core xeon, and I'm curious about the octa core atom and how that did.

Another thing too I'm suprised it's terrible maglev cooler is cooling the atom, I've gotten it hotter (up to about 70C) so there's no flames yet out of this thing.

estimates while the wu is 0,something something percentage completed are pretty much worthless, if his 2p xeon system is performing anything remotely close to your atom something is horribly wrong on his end, let it do a few percentages atleast if you want to see somewhat accurate results, you get the same wu's as everyone else regardless of being a veteran or if you just started out.
