Monitor flickering (L204WT-SF)

For the past months, my monitor has been having flickering issues; sometimes it would be displaying normally but then randomly the brightness would drop. I find this to be rather annoying. So what is causing this to happen? Is it a sign of a dying monitor or perhaps is it a loose connection inside the monitor? Any ideas?

What GPU do you have?, also what cable are you using to connect it to the monitor?

Could be a faulty cable, perhaps not plugged in properly. If you're using adapters be sure to check they're connected properly.

Try resetting your monitor to factory settings.

Otherwise it may just be faulty.
