R9 270X Advice.

I'm on a budget around 800$ to be exact. I have the ASUS 247H 1080p monitor.. Or something like that. I want to know because I saw a comment on YouTube saying that you need at least 4gb of vram to play ultra smoothly, which is probably a lie considering that I saw a guy play with the 2gb version just fine so I have no idea. Here is the link if you have any advice http://pcpartpicker.com/p/w8ZM4D thanks.

I'd suggest going with something such as a R9 280x or GTX 760/770 instead of the r9 270x.

Also get 2x4GB sticks instead of 1x8GB stick so you can run it in dual channel.

Get a Samsung 840 Evo 120gb ssd instead, they are very fast and reliable.

I believe the current OS you have in the build is both 32 bit and 64 bit, I think you can get the 64 bit alone for less.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

well you can save money by picking the 280 i have linked

its faster than the 270X 4GB

and you will never worry about VRAM limit and you can play at 1080P ultra

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Nothing explicitly wrong with the XLR8, especially since he is on a tight budget.

it's legit they give you the product key you just have to download the ISO. There is a thread full of people saying it's legit on here if someone would be kind enough to link :3

I would replace the 8350 for the 8320 and get a 990FX chipset motherboard ;)

For the GPU, as the other said, pick a 280/280x or a 760/770

I thought about dual channel (2x4) but I'm also a EDM producer as well as a gamer and I would like the option to expand to say 16,24 or 32 GB.

You wont need 24 or 32 GB of RAM, 8 is enough, 16 is already more than enough, IMO

It's not "really bad" it's just a bit slower. If he wants a well priced, good performing SSD on this price, he should get the Sandisk 128GB.

The single channel vs dual channel argument is dumb considering the performance difference is VERY minimal when using 2 channels. If you feel like upgrading in the future, you can get the 8GB stick.

G2A is legit, I've bought a couple windows keys from them. It uses paypal and it works.

The 2 4GB sticks costs about the same as 1 8GB except you will get better performance.
