ASUS VS278 not turning on

The Cool n00B
Go to solution Solved by The Cool n00B,

Funny you say that, because as it turns out, the buttons are actual buttons, they're not not capacitive. They're on the bottom side. In my defense, the manual didn't say anywhere that they're on the bottom, and the pictures make it look like they ARE capacitive. But yes, that was the real issue it was the wrong input.

I just got a monitor for my upcoming PC build, and it arrived before my other parts, so I decided to test it out. I set everything up, and plugged everything in. Power... Check HDMI... Check Power Switch... Set to "I". Since I don't have my pc, I decided to test it with my ps3. I touched the power button. (It's capacitive) and... It doesn't turn on. I checked every, consulted the troubleshooting guide, and didn't get any relevant information. This is vs278, and there's no q-p on the end or whatever.

Don't mean to state the obvious but is your monitor set to the right source channel? Eg: HDMI 1 etc
