Neither. Unless they are dead cheap, i wouldn't get them. The software support has pretty much ended on them.

 

Look at the One M8 or Galaxy S5 if they're in you budget range

I wouldn't buy the One X or s3. Being the owner of a one x from HTC I think there are other smartphones which are slightly better.

 

If I had no options from these two. Maybe the One X however the s3 isn't to bad but has been having battery issue over the duration of using it.

Out of those two, I would get the One X.. but look for something newer

I own the One X and it has its fair number of disappointments like short range Bluetooth and WiFi and IMO not enough battery juice, I'd aim for an X+ it's a better option, but I'd look at something more modern tbh.

Get a moto g or something, they will be better plus it runs close to stock android
