7680 x 1440p... Is anyone ACTUALLY running this right now?

Mindtrick

If so, what are you pushing it with, and what sort of performance are you getting?

Dual 780ti's.

Tek syndicate did some tests with 3x 1440p monitors.

The only person I've seen with relevant benchmarks at 7680x1440 was a guy with quad titan's and a 3930k @ 5ghz, it was all he could do to get 60 FPS at ultra settings in AAA titles.

Quad titan is some serious overkill lol. 4 Way SLI is EXTREMELY inefficient for the money you spend and the power you consume. Dual 780Ti's run it quite well.

It had nearly perfect scaling.

Some people are running 3 of the cheap korean 1440p monitors. But from what I've heard nobody actually goes 7680x1440 but rather 4320x2560 (all in portrait mode) since they are way too wide otherwise.

Dual 780ti's.

And that still wouldn't max out newer games with an average of 60+fps, which is kind of ridiculous.

A single 295X2 or two 290X as you'll want the extra VRAM or wait a few months (~ 3-4) for AMD/Nvidia to release new cards.

Logan was running it with two 780s. It's about 1.5x the demand of a single 4K monitor

Wow, the SLI scaling on those Titans is amazing at such high resolution!

Did anyone see Paul's Hardware benchmarking Minecraft with Titans in quad SLI at 4K? 200 FPS. xD

Funny part is, that's horrible. I get 300-500 on my single 8350 and 770.

At 4K? If he ran it at 1440p or 1080p than he'll probably get 500+.

If people didn't always think "OMG 3-4 WAY IS REALLY BAD SCALING" because of the atrocious benchmarks people do without actually doing things that can make use of that type of horsepower, people would realize it's not that bad.

At high resolutions with very big CPU overclocks, 3-4 way has great scaling. *IE: 4k/ 5760x1080/ 7680x1440 etc.

I've seen the tech syndicate video. I've also seen several different threads, on other boards, where a few people are running such a setup. One thread, in particular, was started in 2012, and the guy was running this with three 680 2gb cards. I just want anyone who is really running this setup to weigh in. I've already invested in two EVGA 780ti Dual Classy's, and am about to pull the trigger on three ROG Swifts. I want some real world input...

That would be only on a per game basis. Some games scale very well but allot don't even recognized the 3rd and 4th cards like FC3 for example.

I also like to live dangerously, currently sporting a 1440p monitor with an R7 260X thanks to my 690 dying on me 2 weeks after the warranty ended the other month.

No way I am spending dual graphics money on the current iteration of graphics cards due to being seriously outdated within 3 months for identical prices, maybe lower, who knows!
