Wich Motherboard

jedylan

I would prefer ROG Hero

My current rig for entertainment/gaming: i5 4570 3,2GHz; MSI B85M-E45; ZOTAC GTX760 AMP!; 8GB (2x4GB) by Kingston; Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm; Corsair 200R, Corsair VS650; Dell U2312HM, Samsung DVD R/W optical drive; CM Devastator; Corsair MM400 gaming pad

Msi Gaming 5 is all you need.

6GB on a 780 is useless due to the small memory bus (384 bit).

I suggest you get a nice vapor x 290X (also better performance than a 780).

Spoiler

Samung Tab S 8.4

3500$ Build with a i7-4790K and gtx780 6go

I am not sure if I will overclock but if I do it, it wont be intense overclocking

I was hesitating between:

MSI Gaming 5: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z97gaming5

Asus ROG Hero: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-maximusviihero

You can propose other options.

I would suggest going with a z97 motherboard. In case it isn't apparent, I really like Asus boards. Especially when the budget can take it.

  1. Asus Z97-A
  2. Asus Z97-PRO
  3. Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
