Get a single 290x/780ti

You don't need a 1000w powersupply...way overkill.

I suggest a single high-end card such as 290X/780TI instead of two lower-end cards.

Get a asus hero instead of the gigabyte and get WD HDDs then you are good to go. :)

Looks good to me, but two questions:

  1. Why the uber expensive Hitachi drive?
  2. Why are you going with the 900D?

Also, you may be able to find a decent 850 watt PSU cheaper.

900D is terrible for air cooling but very good for watercooling.

I would also get a single 780ti for that build. Same price as a 770 but you won't have to deal more heat in the case.

I haven't finished the build yet...it will be powering a 1440p 27" monitor and a complete water cooling loop when I'm done....I'm more looking at the performance rather then money spent.

Why do you still have that 900d?

I had a 760T earlier...recommend me some cases honestly thats where I am having the hardest time at.

If you've previously won the build off please pm me so we can get something worked out.

This is muuuch better than your previous one.

A 500GB Evo is probably more recommended, but if you have some reason for a 1TB, then it's fine.

Failure rates on 4TB drives make them somewhat problematic due to platter counts, Hitachi may have taken care of that, but if you have important data you're better off getting two identical drives in RAID 1, especially since your drives are different and losing either 3TB or 4TB at once is going to be painful.

Don't bother with 4GB 770's, 290's are only a tad bit more. Ideally you would go for something a bit higher end for dual GPU (dual 290/780 or 780TI/290X and add another later).

If this is to be built at a later date, the only things you should be buying are the water cooling parts (excluding blocks) the case, the PSU, monitor, peripherals, and the storage last.

Error: 410

Even for 27" 1440p or 2 monitors at that rate?

The 900D is two big unless you are doing SLI watercooling. IF you aren't then go with the smaller version fo the 900D or a H440. Cases are very personal and a Graphite would be a good case as well. I wont list m favorite because there are soooo many that I like.

The 780TI and 290X will do very well at 1440P, they won't run every game maxed out, but barely any single card will do that. Another option is Dual SLI 780s or Dual Crossfire 290s.

Its just kinda in idea mode at the moment I wont actually buy anything until later....just the other build will be in 4 months or so.

770s area solid SLI. Personally I would have stayed with 290 crossfire but that si a personal choice. A 780ti would easily run a 1440p monitor and would probably do okay on dual 1080p.

I completely agree with this. If you want a high capacity drive while minimizing failure rates go with wd reds. What do you know helping is being helpful. :)

I suggest you go with a single GPU (R9 290X/GTX 780 Ti) and a lower wattage PSU (850W, I suggest the RM850).

Also an Enthoo Primo would probably e a better option, and definitely get that Hitachi drive outa there.

I plan on having a 240mm radiator on the bottom, a 360mm on the top, a 420 mm on the bottom basement, a sli/crossfire gpu loop, a cpu loop, a 120/140 mm on the back and a pump and resivor in there....

If you've previously won the build off please pm me so we can get something worked out.

That was my next selections however I don't know if I'll have enough cooling space in there for a custom loop.

In that case, Enthoo Primo, but cases are a personal choice, you're the one that gotta stare at it :D

The Hitachi really? Just on the articles I read alone it has better realiblity then both Seagate & WD blacks when running all the time.

Looks good to me, but two questions:

  1. Why the uber expensive Hitachi drive?
  2. Why are you going with the 900D?

well to be fair its my first time water cooling and I thought it would be easy to work in...the hitachi drive is for all my movies and things, I could break them into two drives but then I need a bigger bracket.

If you've previously won the build off please pm me so we can get something worked out.
