Best budget webcam/Best budget camera

So, this is TWO questions in one! Wow! So much progress for me, right?

 

Anyways, when it comes to this kind of thing, I am clueless, so... Here we go. Everything is in USD.

 

WEBCAM

I'd like to see the best webcam around $50 ($10 leeway). Decent camera is a must, as is the mic. I would say at least 720p recording, 1080p if that's even an option. Logitech is always a good choice, as I have heard.

 

CAMERA

I know more here, but still not that much. I would prefer price to be around $150 (again, $10 leeway). Great camera quality is a must, and a good mic of course. 1080p video and 15MP pictures at least. I pretty much need to have the camera in black. I trust you guys with this, so... Duke it out.

Used Logi c920 off ebays.

It's actually on sale right now on Amazon.

So if @tmcclelland455 doesn't mind, $17 more gets you a really freaking good webcam.

I really wish that we'd just make organic hardware already, that grows and adapts to the demands it needs to meet. That way, grannies' computers can be floppy sacks of organicness and the 12 year old Minecrafters will look like the guys that only do bicep curls, and the nerdy programmers will finally have justice, with their body-builder rigs that skipped leg day.

I use the logitech c615 and the image quality is great (can play magic the gathering card game over it, meaning it is good enough to read extremely small text) and the mic quality is better than my old Turtle Beach x12's.

I use the Logitec c525. Its only 720p but the image is sharp and always in focus. I use the mic for recording all my videos. It is not ideal, but sounds good enough. Obviously not a blue yeti.

The PlayStation Eye is actually a pretty good cam, can't comment on the mic. All you need is a third party driver from CL or something.

Sorry for an off-topic post, but... There's a better place than general discussion to put this thread in.

 

An on actual topic: 150$ doesn't get you a good camera that has 16MP stills and 1080p video recording. I'd highly suggest looking for used stuff, like from ebay or something. And beware that when it comes to cameras, resolution isn't everything. If you don't understand some "camera terms", look for reviews of the cameras you're looking for.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.
