All the hot air is gonna come directly to you.You need to change your tower's location.Put it under your window.

It's gonna be sweet with stuff everywhere!

Actually I have the front and back fans pushing air into the case, and just the top fans on the rad pulling air out. The only exhaust (minus the PSU but that hardly counts) it strait vertical.

Aren't you creating air turbulence with that setup? O.o

If by turbulence you mean positive pressure, then yes.

The turbulence created by fan blades moving through the air is orders of magnitude large than the turbulence created by the two air streams colliding.

Trust me, I am a mechanical engineer that works with air movement every single day.

Thanks!

I know I cannot compete with many of the amazing setups around this site, I am merely trying to improve upon my last fairly crappy set up. :)

No worries. I like that you are thinking about the effects that changes on your system have. Its just that some people seem to get really caught up on things that make negligible differences.

I was actually asking if the fans that are pulling air inside work against each other and not about positive and negative pressure.

If you are 100% sure, then i'll do it as well :D

I usually recommend some type of pressure designed fan, but the distance between the fans makes it so they have very limited effects on each other. You can consider the center of the case to be a static pressure vessel. If the fans were significantly more powerful, then you would have a very valid concern. But at the power levels, and CFM/MMH20 levels that case fans are capable of generating, its really not a worry.

I like running positive pressure because if you filter all of your fan intakes, it will bleed air out of all the rest of the holes, and do a little better at reducing the dust buildup inside your case.

This nerd cave is about as big as my bedroom. My bedroom fits my desk that has 3 monitors and a mid tower a ps2 and a bunch of other stuff, And my bed. That is all of it.

So I can put anything here?

Looks really nice. Clean and simple, not over the top but still awesome. It just doesn't look very 'personal' yet but if you just moved in that's normal.

Which side of the house is the room on? Cause if the window is facing south it could get quite hot in the room in the summer.

And you should hang the paper bin on the wall so you can slam dunk.

The window is facing North East(ish). So it doesnt get much for afternoon sunlight. Seems to be alright so far.

I like your idea for the trash can lol
