My New Nerd Cave

So I moved this weekend, same town new place. But the new place has a small bonus room, which I immediately claimed for a nerd cave.

 

I am pretty excited to have my PC out of my bedroom for the first time ever. During the summer it heats up my room enough that it can be tough to sleep. Not a problem anymore :)

 

What does the forum think?

Still moving in, trust me the rest of the place it buried in boxes. It will be filled up pretty soon.

That doesn't look very comfortable...

 

The chair is not fancy but not as uncomfortable as it looks. Not great but not horrible.

I don't know how anyone can sit directly in font of a 90 degree angle and I could never sit so close to the wall with no leg room.

 

Umm not sure exactly what you are saying. I am sitting at it now and I cannot even reach the wall with my legs when I'm sitting in a normal position.

Wait, how do you get more legroom? With a wider table or do you just plonk your desks in the middle of the room.

I reckon using that corner actually maximizes the amount of legroom he gets from that table.

All the hot air is gonna come directly to you.You need to change your tower's location.Put it under your window.

I cringed at the sight of just a few L brackets holding up the desk.  I get paranoid when there is no supporting legs for the front of the desk  :wacko:

 

Other than that, looks good!

 

Also, I hope that heater is never on?  Because that *amp?* is way too close.

I work at my desk all day so most of the time I have my legs extended thus I need all the room I can with being 6'4.

 

I cant touch the wall if I try, even with my legs fully extended. Then again I am only 5'11"

bridge the 90deg gap on your corner desk, gives you some more keyboard room

 

I would like to but I dont have a table saw or a radial arm to make a nice miter on it. The desk itself is just in stock 25" deep shelving from Menards.

This setup was even cheaper than the IKEA offerings, granted I did have to give up the nice curved section for the center.
