Try looking up some of the Sony headphones that show up in one of those shops and do some reading on their qualities. They should give you better audio quality. Provided you don't need the mic anymore.

But what about Siberia v2 not sitting good on the ears / arround the ears like in Linuses case? Linus says that destroys the sound of Siberia V2, just watch his review of the Func HS-260.

I rewatched today the reviews of HS-260 from Tech Syndicate, LinusTech, Hardware Cannucks and a few others - seems to be a good headset for that price.

For what it's worth, I would go with the fundc's. Reason being, price, quantity of reviews, and build quality. Honest I think they are the best value as the offer quality of better headsets with a reasonable price. I listen to a couple set of v2's I can't place my finger on it but, just not my cup of tea. Personally I own Razer Kraken pros (non 7.1) and I got them on sale for 60Usd and I was very pleased with them, I also own the Razer Tiamat 7.1 and the are fantastic in gaming but the would be most likely out of your price range, if ale to listen at a local store I wold a least give the Kraken a listen, as from what I see on the websites they should be within your budget.

Definitely take the g430. It has a perfect mic, dolby 7.1 and amazing features.

I'll go with Kingston HyperX Cloud White. Good sound (and even better with a amp like the one in my Xonar DG), good quality, 24 months warranty and goes well together with my other peripherals (white illumination on G710+, white images on the mousepad, white markings and logos on the monitor, speakers, wristrest, ...). It has been choosen. Thank's everyone.

I ORDERED the Kingston HyperX Cloud headset, the white version for a bit under 100 euro. Paid a lot more than I wanted, but if Linus says it doesn't suck than it doesn't.

I just got mine in the mail today, 191. They're fantastic. Super comfy, even on my enormous head, sound good, and seems to have a decent mic. Couldn't be more happy with them. Let us know what you think about them when they come in!
