I would get the ASRock Z97 Anniversary instead of that MSI board as the ASRock motherboard is specifically made for the G3258. @ZacDaMan72

if you have enough money to go i5, dont bother with pentium. it WILL bottleneck in certain (especially online games when lots of things going on on screen) games ( bf4, star citizen, etc... )

lol, ppl come on this forum scared of bottleneck, but then another ppl want to buy unlocked pentium just bcs its anniversary and unlocked

Good sir, everything looks fine except for the price of the gpu. Do we have any suggestions for midrange ones? Or does 300bucks a price for a midrange gpu? And i was also thinking of a hybrid drive. Is it cheaper more worth it? Do we have a suggestion for a hybrid?

I don't think you would want to CF/SLI with a G3258. Plus he said a budget gaming pc. Going with CF/SLI is not exactly budget.

If he ever wants to upgrade the CPU and do SLI/Crossfire, he can.

*Futureproofing*

Just kidding it's for future expansion if he ever wants to, it'd be cheaper in the long run.

Well then that's a choice he will have to make :D. SLI/CF is not good on a G3258 though and upgrading the CPU alongside getting a 2nd GPU I would not expect that to be cheaper than simply getting a new single graphics card for a single card setup.

I'd rather do a 280X Crossfire than have a 290x but whatevs, each to their own :P

If you want to go with something you can use in the future you could spend a bit more for an R9 290 but this build is very solid.

270x should be good for what you do, I can play all of my games at Max settings at 50-100 fps, and im on a OC'd 270 (Overclocked to 270x performance)

If you want to OC, 270 might be a better choice as Ive heard people getting better overclocks then they did on a 270x.

Also that ram is good, I have the same stuff but black. It has a lifetime warranty, so Id get it if I were you.
