Best Firmware for Asus AC68U

Hello forums,

Just wanted to ask a quick question. Should I stick with Asus's firmware or move onto firmware such a DD-WRT or Merlin's build?

if you wanna mess around with shit ton of settings that you probably never heard before install DDWRT or you just wanna plug it and forget it keep the stock

From a Networking persective OpenWRT is the best but for ease of use Tomato or DD-WRT are the best .

For messing around and learning go for a 3rd party firmware. It can do a lot of good things for your router.

 

If you are not into messing with things that leave it.

 

I run the Gargoyle firmware on my router and I'm very happy with it.
