I highly recommend getting one in your build. The overall snappiness of the system is truly night and day. Use an SSD as your OS drive and HDD as storage. Trust me, you'll be so much happier. Good Luck :)

I mean... personally i really like my ssd, doesn't make a difference performance wise in games (Except loading times) But booting my computer in 11 seconds is pretty cool.

Makes the OS faster, makes games installed on it load faster, no other benefits.

Compared to a spinner the OS is incredibly more responsive, that is the main advantage, boots are much faster.

If you have a limited budget you don't need one, if I had to choose between an SSD or a better GPU in a gaming rig I'd take the GPU every time.

No you don't need one but you should definitely want one. It's one of the best upgrades you can make to a pc. You can keep your hard drive as well and just put OS and a few games/programs on the SSD.

If you are going to have to downgrade or skip any other part to get the SSD while staying on budget, then NO. The price of an SSD can be better spent on the GPU, or a better heatsink, or some quieter fans, etc. It makes 0 difference to the performance of the computer.

If you are happy with the rest of teh parts you have chosen, and have money for a 256GB drive left, then an SSD is a fine choice. It will not make nearly the difference that most like to say though.

It makes a 0 frame difference. If you massively care about loading times, then go with one, but if you don't mind, then you don't need one.

If you ever play Battlefield 4, oh hell yes.

Unless you want to wait literally five minutes to load a Conquest Large map.

Would I be missing out on anything amazing?

I built my pc with a 120gb ssd and a 1TB HDD... I built my sons pc with something called a hybrid drive SSHD 1TB. Boot times are both very fast using Windows 8.1... really not much of a noticeable difference, we use the same CPU by the way. The boot times are literally within 1-2

seconds. Gaming is the same way... we load games at the same time, and we never even notice any real difference in loading speeds. And SSD or

SSHD has no difference in our FPS while gaming. If you are unsure about SSD, or if the SSD setup seems too complicated for you... I would

recommend an SSHD.
