Ok so aio watercooling

I have a NZXT phantom 630 (with the 200m on the side panel) I am looking to cool my 4790k. I want the best cooler I can get for it. Idel with a stock intel cooler it runs 32-40C load it jumps to around 70C. I have read threads and made some of my own about the temps I see. So this is what I need help from the tech tips members. What do I do I am looking into the H100i but in all honesty I am unsure if my MSI z97-gaming mobo has an available usb port to use the link software (I have 2 usb plug ins used).

Would a H50 or something like that be worth my time? What do I do????

I need insights about what will fit in my case what fans should I use instead of the stocks that come with aio systems as well. Show me the ways of the force!

The H100i will run just fine without the USB cable plugged in.

"Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

Yeah, you won't get to use corsair link but it'll work.

70°C is just fine for a CPU, unless you want to overclock.

When running Prime95 my stock 4770k will also hover around the 60-70°C mark with a H100i running dual air penetrators on 5V...

So should I go with the basic h100?

a Swiftech h220 might be worth the extra investment in case you ever decide to expand your water cooling loop to include a GPU

H105 will perform better then the H100i

Since you won't be able to use the link software without an available USB header, just get the H105.

From what I have seen on the forums the cooling results from the H100i have been quiet poor (not saying its a bad cooler but from what I have observed). In some cases my Thermaltake Water 3.0 PRO has had much better results that the H100i

H110 doesn't fit in your case i think.

H105 is the next best option :)

H110 is a larger radiator. It is dual 140mm.

Just checked and your case does support a dual 140 rad at the top.

x61 performs better than the H110 because it has a thicker rad
