They are great for budgets, but if you can afford it, an HDD + SSD is best

Im sorry but they are terrible. If your wanting something faster than a HDD. Save up a bit more to buy a proper SSD. Why go halfway?

What if you want something faster than as HDD to go along your SSD? 1TB SSD's aren't really cheap so...

I heard that they are bad upon using is that right ??

No they are not, they are great especially if you want to put it in say a laptop and you don't want to sacrifice disk space for speed. My laptop boots up as fast as a desktop with an SSD, I'd highly recommend an SSHD for someone on a tight budget or for someone who can only take one drive and doesn't want to offer up disk space.

They are not bad, users just don't understand the use for the product.

I still recommend using a dedicated SSD for your OS and stuff, but if you want mass storage that can cache properly, then the SSHD is not bad.

Its really not. For a bit more, you get a proper ssd, that will molest it in every conceivable way.

For the difference you put into SSHD, you can buy a regular hdd and a tiny used SSD. Still a better solution than SSHD. SSHD really only makes sense if you have single disk slot and no other way to expand storage (no msata, dvd bay etc..)

buying an SSD used is asking for trouble, the guy could have attempted a defrag. an SSHD also helps even if the drive is used as secondary storage. it makes frequently used programs run a load smoother (than a regular HDD at around the same price), I am talking out of experience, do you even own an SSHD?

A small 32 gb SSD isn't as great either, a friend of mine is having a lot of issues with slow downs due to the SSD getting filled with junk too fast so he has to clear junk quite often.

The performance improves over time...

Well sure if you stop using it over time and the last thing you wrote is in the cache is what you need its fast.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.

So what, if someone defragged SSD. Doesn't matter, since you can always look at number of writes that was done to the ssd. Personally i've had zero issues with used ssd.

it's still a lot more expensive, and you have not answered me on the SSHD question. I just booted up my laptop and it was as though I was on my desktop, also read / write speeds are quite improved over the hdd that was in here before.

It is a 8 or 16 GB cache, so if you use a small amount of programs then you will get a speed bump.

"Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
