£300 budget CPU, Mobo and RAM

So I'm looking to be upgrading my CPU, Mobo and RAM. I don't really want to spend more than £300. I want to overclock and play games like BF3, BF4, Star Citizen when it comes out.

Note: System has a red and black theme to it so red and black is my preferred colour

           I've just bought a R9 290 Tri-x also

This is what I've came up with so far and if you think I should change anything just add it :)

Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£99.85 @ More Computers)
Total: £319.93
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

 Looks great!

Thanks man :P

yeah you got it :)

Cheers :)

Looks good   :)

Thanks

What do you guys think about upgrading after that?

AIO watercooler, was thinking the Kraken x61 since it blows the H100 out the water (no pun) and is compatible with the Carbide 300r.

SSD, I'm not too sure of but open to suggestions

Some LEDs for the case, probably some alchemy leds

And Static Pressure fans for the RAD :)

Yeah the krakens are great! I personally am using a h100i but only because I love the corsair block and it keeps my 4770k at like 40 degrees

SSD. samsung 840 evo, or crucial mx100

I have some cheap AKASA Leds and they look really sweet in the 300r!

Yeah I am using some corsair sp120 quiets, again for the aesthetics, not the quitest, but again my CPU stays under 50 degrees under gaming

Yea Corsair are far better in looks, but then the x61 with a six year warranty, outstanding performance and it fits in the 300R without any modding. All that for £10 more is a no brainier

Try get some higher frequency RAM with worse timings, like some 1866mhz stuff, will be about £2 or so more expensive, but for the extra 2 pound, it's obviously worth it, since with most things frequency>timings.

Don't forget that higher frequency RAM with worse timings still come with 1600mhz xmp profiles aswell, so if you want better timings with worse frequency, you can still do that.

In my opinion, getting 2133MHz ram is a no brainer, since it's not more expensive(well a few pound), and you still get 1600mhz profiles normally.

Edit: oh, looks like I'm abit late to the party.
