Modern Combat 5: Blackout, Now available with a price tag of $6.99

Gameloft recently announced that Modern Combat 5 would come on Windows Phone along with Android and iOS, looks like they have kept their promise. Modern Combat 5 is now available for Windows Phone devices running Windows Phone 8.1 and that have 1GB RAM. The Windows Phone 8 version will be release later today. The game has stunning 3D graphics and the gameplay is as good as the graphics of the game. Gameloft has announced that Windows Phone will receive their titles on the same day as other competing platforms from now on and their will be no waiting time.

The game has both SinglePlayer and action packed Multiplayer, The games requires you to be connected to the internet even during the SinglePlayer campaign mode. This internet requirement is just a form of DRM which checks if the game is genuine and not a pirated copy of it. Along with this the player save data gets synced to the cloud, so that it cannot be lost by any means and would be readily available on different devices.

Game Features:

Characters/Classes:

The game features a total of 4 classes with their unique set of abilities- Assault, Heavy, Recon, or Sniper.

  1. Assault class is for those guys who like to be on the front-lines and push ahead in the enemy territory. You get to choose from various assault rifles which can be customized by adding attachments.
  2. Heavy class can be considers as the base defenders with high damage dealing weapons and heavy Armour they can be useful when you need to complete a objective or when you need to infiltrate the enemy base.
  3. Recon class comes equipped with weapons that have high fire rate like SMG's and machine pistol's. They can be used to gather Intel about the enemy movements in the battlefield.
  4. As a Sniper you get to stay back in the safe zone and take out the enemies from far away. Equipped with long range weapons gives your a little advantage over the enemies, but keep in mind they would not last a bit when it comes to close range combat.

Singleplayer:

The singleplayer mode includes various missions that a player can complete and gain XP for it. Thsis Experience Points can be used to unlock new weapons and upgrades.

Multiplayer:

You can play a squad based match with your friends in your team or just join a random match with the matchmaking system. The game has a in-game messaging system which lets you to chat with your squad. A ranking system keeps track of your progress and you can view your global rank in it.

Weapons/Gameplay:

You'll need to complete either the single player missions or play multiplayer matches to gain XP which can be used to unlock better weapons and gear. Yeah that's true. They should rethink about the DRM feature.
