34 Inch LG or 1440p Asus or 4k?

Toast.

This has been something i've been torn between for quite some time. Im looking a new monitor to replace my great 24 Inch Asus monitor.

However im torn between the new Asus 4k monitor, its pretty cheap considering 4k. http://www.amazon.com/PB287Q-28-Inch-Screen-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B00KJGY3TO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406300448&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+4k+monitor

The 34 inch LG monitor, not the 1440p version, the 700$ 1080p version. http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-34UM65-34-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00JR6GBHO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1406300434&sr=8-2&keywords=lg+34+inch

And lastly the 1440p Asus monitor with an amazing stand! http://www.amazon.com/PB278Q-27-Inch-LED-lit-Professional-Graphics/dp/B009C3M7H0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406300419&sr=8-1&keywords=1440p+asus+monitor

I don't plan on gaming at 4k, not until Graphics cards that are in the 400$ range can do it alone.

Which won't be for a fairly long time.

If I played a game I would probably downscale it to 1080p.

Well that is fair enough I guess

Personally I prefer 1440p for desktop usage. 4k scaling is not perfect and it can make some text and icons too small to read.

And the super wide monitors I dont like the aspect ratio, I like having some height to my displays as websites and lot of content is quite vertical. Also not all games support it

and here I am actually thinking the exact opposite, I love the 21:9 ratio especially if he wants to video edit or multi task I think this will depend on personal preference.
