Would my i5-4670k CPU bottleneck a R9 290 at stock speeds?

Absolutely not. Even at stock clock it probably won't bottleneck the top end card for at least 3 years.

That's a pretty bold statement. With 3 cards the CPU always becomes a bottleneck.

nahh, i5 is more then capable of handleing 3 290X's, ineffecienty of CF will be the bottleneck first, not the CPU

Well i will say the i5 will bottleneck 3 290´s.

 

But who the hell would ever go with a triple crossfire or sli in the first place?

Cause the scaling sucks.
