You must consider on whether it will justify for the cost of even building this PC. I would say just go basic with an i7 + GTX 770 and wait till the channel bringing in revenue that allows for the upgrade.

would the

corsair Series GTX 240GB 2.5" solidstatedrive

be a good ssd

I'd recommend the 840 EVO and the Crucial M500 240/250GB SSDs.

They're the best value.

Also do you really need an i7 and a 780ti? I'm wagering you don't. Unless you plan to do serious editing down the line.

Build is waay to overkill and not really very good value.

You'll be just as happy with this + the $600CAD you saved. You can always add a 2nd R9 290 later:

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Nepton 280L 122.5 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($106.93 @ DirectCanada)
Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($134.25 @ Vuugo)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory  ($193.98 @ Newegg Canada)
Storage: Crucial M500 480GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($269.50 @ Vuugo)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 290 4GB Tri-X Video Card  ($389.99 @ NCIX)
Case: NZXT H440 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($119.99 @ NCIX)
Total: $1664.61
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

i don't think think 4k has come down enough in price to justify it. Plus, lots if third party apps have scaling issues with 4k so you'll have to deal with that
