So, unless I am mistaken, Broadwell and Skylake overlap?

Broadwell was delayed, we know that much, but I haven't heard anything about Skylake being delayed.

If that's true, aren't we technically going to get a Skylake launch while the Broadwell chips are being released?

If so, are people that buy Broadwell selling themselves short?

Your predictions.

Even if they don't have technical difficulties, Intel will delay Skylake if Broadwell hasn't been on the market for long enough, if for no other reason than to milk Broadwell sales.  They are a business after all.  Don't count on Skylake launching just because it's ready to go.

Broadwell and skylake will be launched arround the same period next year.

let me explain how it is.

Broadwell wil be on Z97, and only as unlocked K cpu´s.

Skylake, will be on a new platform, socket 1151 Z170/H170 chipset.

Skylake will be only launched as locked cpu´s. next year.

The unlocked skylake cpu´s, so the skylake K series, will be launched in 2016, a year after broadwell
