Picking a new case

Commander_Z

So I'm trying to decide on a new case, as my Coolermaster K280 just doent cut the mustard anymore

So far im liking the looks of  the Corsair C70 Vengeance and the Air 540.

I'll be using an H100 in the new build so top rad support for a 240mm is important.

what other option could i consider??, bearing in mind the C70 is around $200 NZD, and the Air 540 is roughly $250 NZD

My budget is around the $250 mark

I can check the pricing of your suggestions as they come

Thanks

With the Air 540, the only think i dont like about it is that there are no filters on the bottom where the 3.5 inch drives would go.

suppose i could buy some to cover that up

That will not be a problem. http://www.demcifilter.com/p0431/Corsair-Air-540-Dust-Filter-Kit.aspx

Those are magnetic dustfilters made for the Air 540. Its made by Demciflex who are the name of the game when it comes to dust filters.

There are a ton of different smaller pieces so its a little pricy at 77$ but its worth it.

Well with the C70, i like how it look  asthetically, especially the green one. i think linus had a build in one a while ago

The Air 540, i think look fantastic, i like the chamber for airflow on one side, and the PSU etc hidden away

I would probably go with the Air 540 then and buy the dust filter set from Demciflex.

Agree on the Air 540s looks. Really a nice looking case, and I like the new thinking with the PSU hidden away.

No prob man. The dust filters i linked to are far better than the ones that come with the case. They are magnetic and the cleaning is a breeze. You can even put them under water

Check the reviews, Linus loves it, Hardware Canucks call it the best case of 2014.

I loved my old C70 it came in 3 diffrent colours (Black, white, gunmetal and green) and it's airflow was amazing too. The only thing i can complain about is the window  otherwise it's great, it even has handles
