Best music app for Android?

The stock music app on my S4 mini sucks and I can't stand it anymore. The biggest issue is it replaces my lock screen wallpaper and it makes it hard too see the numbers on my phone. What music app should I switch too? Also I like too keep music on my device I don't stream it using music services.

I personally use Poweramp and it has never let me down once. And once you download it, you can disable the Album Art on your lockscreen (but not sure if that is a premium option or not since I already own it)

I believe it's also the most popular player on Android.

 

Apollo also has a good few people vouching for it, it's a Cyanogenmod native app but can be installed on other devices using the CMinstalled application.

I was very fond of Google Play Music while I had my Nexus 5, but the shuffle algorithm drove me nuts (I have a fairly large music library so it might be that). Didnt have that much experience with other players but have heard good things about Poweramp and Spotify. Currently I really like Sony's Walkman app but it's having trouble displaying the correct song info to my Pebble Steel, so I've reverted back to GPM for the time being.

I just use Google Play Music as I can download and delete music on the fly from my collection, but like most Google products it's a great design, great functionality but sloppy implementation. The lack of sort options is unforgivable considering it's something we've enjoyed since the early days of Winamp and foobar2000. It makes everything look like a mess not being able to sort by release year.

im not very much into music but I use Poweramp because it just sounds the best to me. Even when i was using Cyanogenmod with Apollo on a Galaxy S3, i thought Poweramp was better and i bought it (my first android purchase).
