Will telephone cable work as DSL cable?

I am looking at bringing my modem back to my desk, as Wi-Fi is just horrible here. The problem is that my modem needs to be plugged into a telephone wall jack and it is 50 or so feet away from my desk. My question is, will a telephone wire work as a DSL cable and will it be able to carry internet from wall jack to modem?

 

This is the cable I want to buy, to use as a DSL cable. Will it work?

Yes it will work.

A telephone cord is a "DSL cable". Same thing :)
