A awesome collection of doom 3 mods

I like doom 3, but it is starting to show its age. I found this mod which is a collection of MANY mods and puts them all into one very easy to use install package. It adds all of the amazing textures packs, sound overhaul, all new animations, you can now aim down sights, Ambient occlusion and gives you tons of control over all the graphic options. It also makes the baddies tougher and you can have random encounters.

Its a youtube video, which is very different then seeing the game in action, I have this package installed and when I am in game, it really does look great.

Yeah, but none of these mods work for the STEAM version as far as I am aware. And yeah it doesn't look like anything groundbreaking, but what nearly 10 year old game does at this point? Without converting it to a completely new engine, there is only so far mods can go.

The new "Doom" probably won't be high end on the graphics either, but id has been a little behind on the times for many years. They are just too small of a studio to be releasing "I'm going to destroy your graphics card" type games. The whole "no reloading" has me a little worried though.

This mod package DOES work on the steam version, I have the steam version and I used this mod, everything worked just fine. This mod pack only works on vanilla doom 3, NOT the BFG version. But really you need to see this mod IN game, seeing it on youtube does not do it justice. The textures really are nice in game.

Yeah, I don't have the BFG version. It's one of those games that I keep installed because it's fun to make a run though it every year or so.
