Need advice for 2nd build

I have an extra 4GB Hyper X Black ram here(the old one, not the fury), a 500GB Seagate HDD, a VS450w PSU and an R7 260x.

I'm planning to build a Haswell gaming rig. Budget is totally adjustable. I just need a smart and practical advice.

I'm still learning to safely overclock. So non-k versions are, I guess, okay. Unless, you think I should really get a K version even if I run it at stock speed.

I know i5's are great for gaming. But should I really consider getting an i7(4770k) or perhaps the Devil's Canyon(4790) if my purpose is just for heavy gaming and remote access office works? I don't do any video editing or renderings.

And do I really need to invest on gaming mobos? I only need, SATA3, PCIE x16 3.0, USB3.0 and better audio is good too but not really necessary.

My original plan was, get an i5(4440, 4570 or 4670) with a B85 mobo.

Remember, budget is adjustable, well, according to price to performance of course. And yes, I will stick in another 4gigs of ram.

If I get an i7 (4770k), it might be overkill for my needs.

So, smart advice...

Go...

We need some sort of starting point with a budget? Otherwise it can be anyway from $0 to $Infinite.

I was just asking for a practical gaming rig. If I can get a good gaming performance with an i5, then I shouldn't get an i7, it'll be just a waste of money if that's the case.

Games will be BF4 at ultra. DotA 2 High, AC:4 High/Ultra, CoD:Ghost High/Ultra, SC2 Ultra, WatchDogs High.

Anyway, 500U$ for mobo and processor. Can add maybe 100-200 more. But IF I really don't need to spend much, then the cheaper the better. Why overkill it?

Shopping here in the Philippines.

Yes, sorry, will be upgrading the GPU too. Forgot to mention.

Maybe R9 280x or GTX 770, somewhere along that tier. But that's for another topic.

Will upgrade the GPU but shouldn't exceed 400U$ for now.
