Migrating Loop Between Sockets, GPUs

I'm debating going for a watercooling loop, but one of the things I'm getting hung up on is the ability to re-purpose the components. Aside from the pump, reservoir, fittings, and radiators, it isn't as clear whether the CPU and GPU blocks can be re-used for newer components.

Maybe someone can shed some light on this? It seems unlikely that the GPU blocks could be re-used on a new GPU, but more likely that the CPU block could be re-used in the event of a socket change.

GPU blocks generally cannot be reused on newer GPUs. CPU blocks on the other hand can assuming the manufacturer provides support via a bracket or mounting mechanism.

Like you said yourself, CPU blocks will be fine, but Since GPU designs seem to change every single time, Reusing a GPU-block is very unlikely.
