PC wont shut down! HELP!

So here's the thing, my computer wont shut down,when i press the shutdown button it automaticly show BSOD - blue screen of death! And the screen stays there,so i have to shut it down by holding start button! I don't know what to do,it's the second day computer does that! And i have windows 7 ultimate!

seems like you need to update the driver ntoskrnl.exe

Post dump files, sometimes it says that problems are caused by ntoskrnl.exe but it's cause by a different process

Have you got AVG installed?  Theres a bug in AVG that on some systems causes it to Blue screen when shutting down and or restarting.

Open cmd as Administrator and run sfc /scannow

After that you can try cmd as Administrator and chkdsk /r

do you have a spare GPU to rule out hardware trouble?

 

i have a similar trouble of the PC failing to shut down and it was my audio card causing but i think mine is a different case

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
