Msi 290x or XFX 290x?

Hello, I'm considering replacing my GTX 460 with either the MSI R9 290x Twin Frozr Card:

Or the XFX R9 290x DD card:

Which one should I get? they're both $569~ after rebates at the moment so I'm not sure which one's better.

MSI's twin frozr design is really highly rated, and the XFX cooler does have some complaints with VRM temp issues, so i'd go for the MSI

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NOT XFX!!!!

FIne I will explain why.

Takes 2-3 days to respond to even the most basic questions

RMA Process is long and tedious

You pay for shipping both ways

I had to RMA 6 different 7970s from them

All of the cards were loud and hot

I would not recommend them in a million years... maybe 2.... or 3.....

Get the MSI one! Mine runs cool at 71c tops. Though it's only a 290.

MSI, though tigerdirect.ca looks to have them for ~530 after MIR if that helps

Sapphire 290x Tri X hands down.

 

But i would personaly recommend to grab a Sapphire 290 TriX or Vapor X instead of a 290x.

Because in terms of gaming performance, there is not much of a diffrence between a 290 and 290x. they perform roughly the same.

 

The thing is doe, that a 290 is much cheaper then a 290x, which for gaming, in my opinnion makes the 290 a better choice.

 

So what basicly my recommendation is Sapphire 290 Tri-X OC or if you can afford the Sapphire 290 VaporX.

The VaporX is the best 290 arround for sure
