what are the chances of getting a DOA SSD

jake98

Amazon has a deal on the SanDisk Ultra Plus 256GB for $99 dollars which is a pretty good deal so I'm thinking of ordering it for my upcoming build only thing is i'm worried about getting a DOA and not knowing it until i my build is completed and missing my send back DOA warranty thingy. So my question is what are the chances of this worst case scenario happening.

Dunno, but my SSD in less than a month old and has 7 dead blocks.

Probably depends on who you buy it from.

why do so many good cases only come in black and white

Less than a regular HDD since there are no moving parts to get damaged. Its also flash memory which has a high reliability rate.

Thanks,

Honestly, go with a Cruclal Mx 100 or Samsung 840 Evo. The Sandforce controllers still don't support TRIM correctly whereas Marvell and Samsung have figured it out properly.

I would say your chances are low, I did the same when I built my PC.
