If you want a computer that will last a long time that is good for gaming then I would highly suggest you build one on Newegg.

I bought mine in 2006 and it is still running as good as it did when I built it.

Building can take some skill so if you can't do it yourself go to any classified site and find someone who can do it for you.

Building takes about an hour so you might have to pay a little if you can't do it yourself.

Assuming you aren't building it yourself and rather have a prebuilt one around the budget of $500-$1000 (I still don't know your exact budget), I've found some info useful for you

Gaming desktops under $1000 and gaming desktops under $500, whichever your range is at.

Hope that helps

USA WINDOWS

WE CAN READ.

How many years you need it to last? And are you going to by complete system when it can't run gfx/games you want anymore? Laptop mmight be now easier option but if you want to keep playing newest games in best grafics, desktop becomes cheaper quickly.

Desktop then. While you can get decent laptop with that budget, the real gaming laptops are around $1500.

You get best deal by doing it yourself. You only by prebuild once to know how bad they are.

Head over to PSU section for that. You can't roast anything with bad PSU. Worst thing that can happen is that nothing will power on. Most PSUs from known manufacturers (Corsair, Fractal, Thermaltake, FSP, Enermax etc.) are good quality. You don't also want to get anything too powerful since current trend is to make components which use less power than previous generation. So getting 550-700W PSU now is going to last long. Unless they decide to change whole standart of cableing.
