Post error after Enabling Intel Virtualization Technology

Nevermind, fixed it.

It exhibited the same behavior after bios update.  Then when I disabled the VM tech the fans didn't spin.  Fixed it by physically turning it off rather than allowing bios to reboot it.  Weird.

Hi all,

I'm encountering a bit of a strange problem on my computer.

I'm looking to run a Linux distro on a virtual machine under my Win 8.1 build, and I can see my board supports VT-x, but I when I switch the Intel Virtualization Technology on in my Bios the machine reboots and it comes up with a CPU Fan Error.

I can definitely hear that the cpu fans/pump are not spinning up because generally when the pc is booting past Bios the fans spin at full speed before adjusting down to near-silent.  When the setting is enabled the fans do not spin up at all.

I have checked on both settings and the fan profile is still set to Advanced.

I am using build 1402 of the bios.  System spec in my sig.

Anyone else encounter these issues before?  I can't seem to run the VMWare client without enabling Virtualization.

Cheers!

Spooty
