What IEM's to get around $100

Simply Tom
Go to solution Solved by SSL,

Shure se215 somethin somethin

I am looking to get a good pair of IEM's. I was considering the Steel Series Flux Pro because I like the flat non-tangle cord. I need noise isolation and a cable that wont tangle in my pocket. I also like the fact that they go behind the ear.

I don't really know a lot about IEM so I am looking for suggestions. I would like to stay bellow $100.

Thanks for any suggestion.

Creative Aurvana 3 In-Ear.

I own Ultimate Ears, Westone and Sennheiser IEMs. Including this creative in-ear pair. Its very well balanced and is great to pair with any normal amp. It is also very excellent together with Android's Poweramp. Solid.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. Is the cord on the se215 easily tangled? They will spent time in my pocket and backpack so non-tangle is very important.

I really like my JVC  HA-FXT90. Pretty much all IEM cables get tangled if you don't wire it properly. This hasn't had a bad case for me so far.

Enjoy those tacos now, for in 1000 years they will be illegal... eh Ha Ha Ha! I think we all know why.

Super easily tangled and it takes up a lot of space. Mines lasted three years.

Sorry mate, but that sites a joke,  They list in their top reasons for buying the creative over the se215 is that the creatives can be folded but the se's can't and the reason they give for the impedance being better on the se's is just laughable....

The lower the impedance, the easier it is to get higher volume and requires less power.

Go with what sounds good.

One of the pros for Creatives is they can be "folded"? I'm guessing they're talking about the case or something, since IEMs don't even take that much space by themselves.

Personally I'd take a removable cable, the part that most frequently fails with IEMs, over any of the Creative's pros.

Are the flux pro significantly worse than the se215's, because the flat cable is a really nice feature but if they sound too much worse the se215 seem like a good choice.

Thank you for all of the info I think I am going to get the se215's. They seem to be the best fit for me. I have owned too many creative products that have been bad quality to choose them.
