lose the isp?

JewishBacon

While I was thinking today, this thought occurred to me.

What would it take to build a server/modem/whatever it takes to provide yourself with internet access?  Presuming money was no object.

LOTS of money, because you would probably have to pay for bandwidth to other services' servers, etc?

As people of said, it would takes LOTS of money to start an ISP. And you would have to build data centers, buy bandwidth from companies like L3/Cogent or etc. We're talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars to startup(Depending on infrastructure to customers and etc).
