300w and a 750ti?

Bakgrund

Hey, I simply wonder if 300w would be enough for a 750ti?

Worth mentioning is that the power supply doesn't have a 6 pin pci-e connector but a molex adapter would do the job right? I've also heard that the stock 750ti doesn't even have a power-connector so it can't be that power consuming?

The power supply is in an Asus computer with an i5 and one stick of 8GB ram and the psu also says "300 w 380w peak" on it.

Yeah reference GTX 750 Ti doesn't need power from the power supply, it gets all of its power from the motherboard. In that case, it should probably be fine

This is a gigabyte one so it has a pcie 6 pin connector, but i should just be able to use an adapter right? Because most of the power probably will be drawen through the pcie interface?

If you got the windforce it should be fine on that psu since that can "provide" at least 300w (peak 380w). But its more recommendable to use the dedicated 6-pin to a molex converter.

If you haven't buy it already get a GTX 750 or 750Ti with no 6pin connector.

It wasn't my computer and I'm home now so I can't check.

However I just installed it, and it came with a two 4 pin molex to a six pin connector, however the psu just had one molex, and i used that molex, I stress-tested it about 10 minutes in furmark with prime95 running too, and it was all stable.

Is it fine then?
