Picture from my tablet, I actually really like the 970.  I will most likely get a second one.

 

 

The LED is absolutely gorgeous in person, I wish I had a better way of showing you guys but my cameras just don't do the LED justice.

Here's some benchmarks so far from the 970 + 290x:

290x was oc'd to 1175/6400, 970 was OC'd to 1582/7700

I'll probably do some more benches later, but I'm a bit pooped out on it right now.

 

Something I noticed though, the 290x makes quite a bit more noise, the 970 I can leave it at the minimum fan speed while benching+gaming, and it doesn't go past 70C, while the 290x needs to ramp the fan up to stay below 75c, and makes quite a bit more noise.

 

Therefore I've decided I'll get a second 970, as I should be able to SLI them with 40% fan speed 24/7 gaming without getting above 80c, so it should be virtually 100% silent.

The year is 20XX. Everyone plays Fox at TAS levels of perfection. Because of this, the winner of a match depends solely on port priority. The RPS metagame has evolved to ridiculous levels due to it being the only remaining factor to decide matches.

Only Abate, Axe, and Wobbles can save us.

It should be watercooled soon enough if I can find a job xD

I'm water cooling my rig once I get a job. But I can get a job at frozencpu, so I can get a WC discount, I live 5 min away.

But I need to a: turn 16, b: wait for job opening

I'll definitely be getting a second g1 970 for xmas! Although I do love the 290x's performance, seeing as it's a bit faster.

Whenever I get the $$ yeah for sure I'll watercool both 970s.  I got it semi stable at 1600 mhz on air, it starts artifacting a tiny bit, but it doesn't actually crash until 1620 mhz.

I'm thinking about buying it actually. What's the heat/power consumption like? I was going to get a 970 and WC it then get a 2nd one later as my CX750M could handle 2 of them but I'm not so sure about 2 of these.
