Hello users of the forum, I am looking to build a $700 gaming pc to play games like skyrim, bioshock infinite, far cry 3, dota 2, gmod, portal 2, total war Rome, and tf2. I will also be recording these games and be doing some minor to moderate video editing as well. I'm interested in the r9 270, and would like to overclock the card and I'm also interested in an i5 processor. I will need a windows license key as well, and a keyboard. Thank you for all the feedback!

That's looking nice, I don't need a gaming keyboard so maybe I could grab a regular one and get a better processor, maybe swap out the ssd for an intel processor? I also need a 500w psu, sorry I didn't specify that, and could I fit a caviar black in the budget? But it's looking nice thanks!

How's this look? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8x6Fbv got a better cpu, gpu, and ssd. I put in a cheaper keyboard and case. Also you can get Windows 8 from here:  https://www.g2a.com/windows-8-professional-32-64-bit-cd-key-global.html?___store=great_britain# I've never used it myself, but from what I've heard it's legit.

Looking good, I don't really need an ssd though, so maybe we could swap that out for an intel processor? Can we make this build atx? And I can't buy windows from there, other than that, this looks great, thank you!

Are you planning on overclocking ?

What setting you want to play on ?

Want to upgrade in the future ? (SLI/crossfire, adding ram)?

Let's agree to disagree

Not planning on ocing, planning on adding up to 16gb ram, either crossfire or brand new card in the future, probably brand new card . And maximum settings on most games, high on intensive ones

Why not get the ssd? It makes a bigger difference than any cpu upgrade.

Why 500w? The black is only slightly faster than the barracuda and isn't worth the extra money for anything but the warranty. If you want to spend more money on a faster drive, it should be going towards a ssd.

What kind of upgrades were you planning on and what kind of videos are you editing? Programs being used?

A 250gb ssd to dual boot steam OS, maybe 16gb of ram, and possibly a better gpu in a few years. YouTube action videos, vlogs, & gaming videos, as well as live streaming. I'm still figuring out the programs

I don't see why atx would be needed for any of that. What I suggested should be quite well suited for that.

There isn't a graphics card I can think of that wouldn't fit in the N200.

I agree with that, might be an estetics thing.

But he might Xfire and that board doesnt support it.

It's a bit pointless to cf 270's and you'd need to spend a good chunk of money on a larger psu and motherboard for cf that would better be used to actually improve performance.

@WoodenMarker @MrTiC this is a bit off topic, but what brand power supplies would you reccomend for ocing and have a reasonable 600w price: under $65?

Could some one oc an i5 4690k to 4.2Ghz and oc a gigabyte windforce gtx 760 and comfortably use a corsair cx 500? @WoodenMarker @MrTiC

There are few brands that are consistently reliable and you should be looking for psus by a series or individual unit version basis.

The cx500 is more than enough. The evga 500b is better and cheaper though.
