Thinking about getting one in the future, I need a new tablet and was waiting for the rumored Nexus 8 but this will be able to function as both a shield and a tablet so we shall see.

Well, at least it wan't another Titan xD

Not sure how I feel about this. If you use the tablet with a controller to play games, it's going to be pretty hard to use it on the move. Or it's going to have one amazing stand for it.

If you buy an LTE version then you would most likely have to buy a 4G contract with a provider as well so it would be the same cap as those.

The stand appears to work like the smart cover from the iPad which tbh was not that great of a stand.

They were great stands until apple made the smart covers 3 sections instead of four.

I'm buying the baseline tablet and controller as well as a 64GB microSD card on launch. I never liked the original shield and since I'm going away for a bit having a device that I can play PC games on remotely will be awesome. Dosen't hurt that I can also use it as a console.

Never really understood the point of LTE based tablets, most Smartphones have mobile spot now in days and the Wifi versions are much cheaper.

They were awfully priced and third party cases/stands were a lot better and still are.
