Request for a WIFI Camera Review

Dear LinusTech and Forum Members,

I watched the newest Review of the Dropcam Pro by Linus and must say that is a really great device, but what really turned me off from the product was the dumb subscription you also have to pay for and that is why I took note of all the features that the dropcam was lacking and I went on a goose hunt for a better device offering all of the features the dropcam misses. Well, so my first find is the TriVision NC-213WF that I first found under a different name on Amazon.co.uk , but then I found the American version too.

Covering the specs of the device you are equipped with a 2mp, 1080p sensor with a 95° covering lens. At night the camera takes advantage of an IR recording mode securing a good image even in the dark. The camera has a WIFI chip that is enhanced by a large antenna and if you have an ethernet port near you, you can use that to stream your footage. What is really cool about this device is that you can store your footage on an SD Card, watch any recordings live or rewatch older ones and if you fancy it you can record to your NAS! Just like the dropcam pro you are able to stream to any of your windows devices or you can download the Anyscene app from the Apple Appstore or the Google Playstore. You can test a Demo that streams at about 20FPS by:

downloading "Anyscene" and when installed pressing add camera. For the UID field enter: TNG5SD5223PFS5VWCRFJ. For the password enter "camerademo" (without the apostrophes) .

I would really like to see a review of this camera by Linus, because spec wise it offers everything that the dropcam was missing and a few reviews on the British and American model prove that this isn't just a gimmicky toy and what I think would make it really interesting would be that this has more settings to play with to get it running at exactly the way anyone wants it to. Please consider taking a closer look at this product, because there are a lot of people that would like a decent WIFI surveillance Cam.

Cheers,

Chicksoup
