The "one more thing" at the Xiaomi MI4 launch was the Mi Band, the Chinese company's first smart wearable, and it's obviously aggressively priced: Just CN¥79 or about $13! Like many of its competitors, the Mi Band tracks your movement (walking or running) plus sleeping pattern, and you can also use it as a smart vibrating alarm to wake up feeling better. Interestingly, a single charge on this waterproof device will last up to 30 days, which easily beats it competitors that tend to last for a week or less. Better yet, the band doubles as a security token that automatically unlocks your phone

 

The proximity unlock your phone is an interesting idea

 

I do not like Xiaomi after how much of a clone their Mi Pad is of an iPad. I do not trust this company at all.

With China's patent and legal system Chinese companies can do what ever they want over there, but if they ship any of their products to another country they will get sued instantly

I like xiaomi and i dont see a problem with there products or others like it aslong as they make it clear its not something like an ipad etc I think this is really cool for $13 like wtf i want one just because of the price lol

Interesting, but no black? At least not in the picture. Too lazy to read the article.

I like the proximity unlock, I just hope it's smart enough to keep the phone locked while in the pocket.

 

Their new phone looks really nice. The quality changeable backs is a huge plus, and if they ever released it for North America I'd probably pick one up.
