Easiest way for wired connection?

Hey guys, so let me lay out the scenario. Our Modem is downstairs on the opposite end of the house, and i am upstairs opposite to the modem. So it is not inherrently easy for me to wire Cat-6 cable through my house. So what i'm wondering is, is there a way in which i can get an ethernet connection over to my room without running all the cable myself? and still maintain ethernet speeds and reliablility? Thanks

Its an adapter that plugs into the wall outlet and the other end is for an Ethernet cable to go in. Like an iPhone charger but for Ethernet cables.

You could run a Ethernet cable to a downstairs wifi extender if your PC has a good wifi card. Or employ a sparky to route a cable through the floor and the walls (if you have the money and time)

they are flawless. havent ran into any issues and i got them in october last year i also have two more in the house for other things

 

edit: keep in mind if you do use these do not run them through a surge protector strip they need to be plugged directly into a wall outlet

like i said only use them through an actual wall outlet other than that they are basically plug and play

As Bansh already mentioned, they need to be plugged DIRECTLY into the wall.

and you will need two. you cant just buy one and plug it into the outlet by computer and expect to hop right on the internet. one needed for router and one for the device using the internet

You can Use a Wifi device with your modem and computer if you have a strong Wifi card and devices. Wont effect the speed that much I guess. But you cant get the same speed as the main computer.
