New router not working

Spartan256

Hey guys

So I got an ASUS RT-AC66U yesterday. I am using a Virgin media super hub as a modem then connected that to the new router.

I got it all working with no problems. I turned them both off over night, then the next day it doesn't work.

When I try connect to the IP of the new router I cant connect.

When I connect directly to the Virgin media hub, I get internet connection.

Try resetting the router. There should be a button in the back. I think this is the only way to fix it since you can't go into the web interface, right?

The power light on the new router to blinking though. Not sure if its supposed to do that.

I don't understand what you mean by "to blinking".

Sorry typo.

Meant to put  "the power light on the new router is blinking."

Did you update your firmware?

Switching the virgin hub into modem mode will only allow the 1st ethernet port to work, hitting reset will disable modem mode.

That might be the problem.

But if it stopped working before he reset it then that might not be it. I read that if you do a firmware update and don't give the router enough time and start messing with settings, it corrupts the firmware and it goes into recovery mode (power led blinking) so that might be his problem.

I did put it back into modem mode.

The flashing power light on the new router means its in recovery mode, I managed to get in to an interface for it and reset. I also tried new firmware still no luck.
