I have been thinking about my upgrade this December and I don't know what to get (my budget is $400). My current computer has served me well over the years but as it is using a duo core and a although good but, old striker 2 formula. I have thinking about buying a amd processor so I can save some money and spend it on a better motherboard and ram but, going on the intel side you have way better performance but with my budget it will have to buy a cheap mobo and ram. So I ask you guys to help me get the hardware that will give me the best performance in my budget.

PSU: 1000w (don't know exact model)

Case: Cosmos 1000 (supports Atx and extend Atx motherboards)

GPU: GTX 560 ti

I don't know a huge amount about computers but if you don't mind me asking, why did you pick an amd processor over an intel processor?

the intel upgrade i made went over your budget and didn't have a CPU Cooler and honestly you won't get better Performance in games with the i5 over the 8350 unless its a cpu intensive game but the diffrence will be 5 - 10 fps

How about this? i know it's only a dual core pentium, but with a healthy overclock you can get to about i3 speeds, even with the stock cooler. (it's unlocked)

and when you're ready you can jump for the 4670k/4690k.
