Proof Verizon is truly blocking Netflix traffic. (Repost)

QuintusMaximus

We've been hearing this discussion tossed back and for the between accusations from Netflix and Verizon respectively for some time now. But up until now,(at least for me) I haven't seen any viable proof that I could easily replicate and compare to my connection.

After his diagnostics, he had proven that utilizing the direct connection to Verizon gave him 0.5% of his promised bandwidth. He was only able to play in HD after utilising a VPN to route his connection away from.verizon. Personally, I have as very low-level setup, and have only a up to 5mb down and up to 1mb up. Even with those speeds, my results (1750kbs @ 720x480) FAR exceeds that of someone with a plan 7x better than my own. This is disturbing, I encourage you guys to also try this test, especially if your are with Verizon, to see if this is still applicable.
